Olga and Bongo when he arrived in 2002
Just four weeks left to buy tickets for our 10 year Anniversary event: "10 years of rescuing chimpanzees"!
This very special celebration will be hosted at the Cambridge University Zoology Museum on July 1st 2011 from 6-10pm. The museum collection dates back to 1814 and includes specimens collected by Charles Darwin. The evening will be hosted by Dr. Scott Miller, writer, TV vet and presenter and our patron and will include talks by Olga Feliu, the founder and director of MONA, and Prof. William McGrew, world renowned primatologist and author of chimpanzee material cultures. Lynsey de Paul, the award winning songwriter, producer and presenter and a passionate animal conservationist will be presenting our charity auctions including paintings by the chimps! and a fantastic "Harry Potter Style" dining experience donated by Corpus Christi college and Cambridge local secrets. There will be a canapes, cava and beer served throughout the evening, a photo exhibition featured at Barcelona Natural History Museum, live music from a local Cambridge band called "My String Theory" and raffles and a video message from Dr. Jane Goodall DBE. Tickets cost £30 each (£15 for students and pensioners) and the proceeds will go directly to supporting our sanctuary in Spain.

A huge thank you to our UK supporters who have raised the funds needed to build the access tunnel for the bachelor group. The boys now have direct access to their outside enclosure. Bongo was very nervous about entering the tunnel at first but he is now getting used to it and enjoying direct access to the outside. Toni is a very happy boy and enjoys perching himself at the highest point of the tunnel so that he can see everything that is going on.
