Titin

Titin

History: It is unknown where Titin was born, but it must have been around 2007. Within the same year he arrived in MONA. He was found near the entrance of an apartment block where probably ended up after escaping from a private owner.

Personality: He was lucky to have been rescued at such a young age. He was integrated into the group  at an early age and therefore learned very quickly how to establish himself in the hierarchy. Today he is an important part of the group, being the link between the two high ranked females. As typically seen in mother deprived macaques, Titin also developed stereotypic self-mutilation behaviors (biting his leg).
