While the latest research efforts for 2011 has been excellent, productive, and efficient, it's time to think, reflect and plan for the immediate future of research at MONA. Almost no time to close results, new ideas emerge, new projects and new partnerships are forged and are in place. We believe that 2011 has been a great year for research at MONA. Excellent in terms of scientific production (19 communications), 470 people enrolled in courses, positive in terms of new agreements and collaborations (Max Planck Institute, University of Cambridge, Spanish Primatological Association, University of Córboda, UNED ...), and sublime human qualities of people who have worked with us. So what else can we do? (1) initiate a new research project of long duration (etho-Chimpanzee Archaeology: on the basis and the origins of hominin Techology and cultural behavior) in collaboration with the IPHES. (2) New courses will be launched: Culture and social learning in nonhuman primates, Comparative Cognition: chimpanzee and human facial expressions and communication in chimpanzees Primate Ethology Block 4. (3) will begin implementing some of our program courses with an online format. (4) will assist the National and Latin American Congress of Ethology. (5) begin to prepare the IV Iberian Congress of Primatology to be organized by Mona Foundation in 2013 in the city of Girona (6) continue to work with the same motivation and energy for 10 years, and doing our bit for the primates. And (7) occasional surprises that we can not discover! Follow us, visit and encourage to participate in our activities! |
