Please help us to raise funds to construct a new outdoor enclosure just like this one so that we can rescue more chimps who desperately need our help. Like our current residents, these chimps will have the area the size of a football pitch to climb, forage and roam freely and heated indoor facilities where they can sleep safely at night. The new enclosure is essential to our rescue and rehabilitation program. It will allow us to rescue many chimpanzees languishing in atrocious conditions. In Spain alone, we are aware of at least thirty chimpanzees being held in shabby zoos or in the entertainment industry. In many cases, local authorities have acknowledged that these primates are being illegal kept but confiscation is impossible because there is nowhere to house them appropriately. We are the only primate sanctuary in the North of Spain and we feel that we have a responsibility to help them. For many of the new arrivals, it will be the first time they have seen grass. Please help us provide them with a safe place to live out the rest of their lives in a naturalistic environment where they cannot be exploited anymore. Help us give them a future because right now they have no hope.
